Why do more people invest in Japanese cars instead of german?
Me personally I only like german cars, but I’ve noticed all my friends and a lot of other poeple when they want to buy a fast car or a car to buy and fix up themselves most people buy Japanese. Weather its Honda suburau, acura, mittsubishi. Then they fix those cars up to go fast. I don’t get why more poeple don’t do that with german cars?!?! They have some of the fastest cars there are. Anyone know?
They are cheaper, better built, and possible to work on.
one answer they are cheaper to acquire lots of after market parts, but Subaru is not a Japanese car I have a 48 Mercedes Benz in line 6, 5 speed on the column suicide doors real hard to get parts but I still love it
There are actually quite a handful of tuned German vehicles, most notably the BMW 335i. Anyways lets say you’re either on a budget, or just don’t like spending too much. You want the best thrill your money can buy. If you spend it on a German vehicle, your money would go into posh interior work and nifty gizmos, not entirely into grunt. However, with that exact same amount of money, you could buy an OK interior-ed car with an ok-sih engine, and spend the remaining money on engine upgrades.
For example:
You’ve got $35k. Depending on your interests, you can either buy a BMW 128i that will get you to 60mph in about 6 seconds, which aint all that bad, unless you could have a factory-new 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution that does it in 4.9 seconds, god only knows how many less seconds it would take if it were to be upgraded even further.
Personally, I wouldn’t ever buy German since it mostly consists of uppity interior and fancy sheet metal, things I wouldn’t really consider when buying a car. Its all preference I suppose.
Whoever thinks a Subaru isn’t Japanese shouldn’t be allowed to comment. The real reason is most people either follow the fads of what’s popular today, or they can’t afford a BMW M3, Porsche, etc. Ultimately, it’s personal preference, but for a budget, American cars are best option. Germany makes good cars, and some fast ones, but $75k for a 400hp M3 is ridiculous.
Likewise, someone who thinks German cars are luxury only doesn’t really have a standing to comment either.
Less expensive.
theres always Volkswagen,
but they’re s*** and they arent made in germany any more.
