Fast & Furious 4: The Cars and Trucks
FAST & FURIOUS COVERAGE @ INSIDELINE.COM: www.edmunds.com Opens Friday, April 3!!! In the movie business, cars are expendable. They’re not respected, nowhere near cherished, subject to abuse and constantly thrashed. It doesn’t matter if the cars are Ferraris or Ford Crown Vics, the job of any vehicle in a movie is to tell the story effectively — even if it must be destroyed in order to do so. And in a movie like Fast & Furious (opening April 3) the cars do a lot of storytelling. We should know; we went behind the scenes. In October of 2007, Dennis McCarthy was hired as the picture car coordinator for Fast & Furious, and after leasing a 60000-square-foot shop in Southern California’s San Fernando Valley and hiring a staff of mechanics and fabricators, he got started building the 240 or so cars that would be needed for the production — to portray about a dozen on-screen cars tied to a character. After all, duplicates were needed of every car to ensure the production never had to slow down; to perform specific stunts; and to be wrecked in the most spectacular way possible. Using documentation from the production’s picture car department and in-person interviews with McCarthy and his hard-working team of fabricators, Inside Line has created the most comprehensive guide to this year’s hottest movie cars. Here it is: Inside Line’s guide to the cars and trucks of Fast & Furious.
american muscle
gtr would take that chevelle stock for stock,plus that was the worst f&f
@EJoey2006 yea man i agree with you im a civic driver myself and personally i dont like muscle cars as much as i hate to say it more people that drive civics are more worried about moding them more show not for performance i use to be like that until i realized that all those kits and all look good yes on some cars not all but will not get you a good time on the track thats why im keeping my shit simple and working on my engine
@BettyTheNurse hell yea old muscle is nice
@gmarz13 fuck you faggot its all about the tuners
4 the most part, i gotta 99% agree with u, although every ounce in a blue moon, a select few ppl (n im not one of them) who do build civics that can stomp a lot of American muscle cars, but i’ve maybe seen maybe 2 or 3 in my lifetime properly built like that
@carnypimp ya in a straight line!
Muscle cars are not made for GT racing there are pure muscle that will smoke any moded peice of shit Civic in a straight line, even with a shitty driver!
fuck u gtr’s r sick
They shouldnt be allowed to destroy so many cars like that Gran Torino…theres not alot left. they should be treated as endangered animals. thumbs up if you agree.
I want that fucking Road Runner.
@shaggs676 i dont have any of them i didnt work on the movie hahaha but im sure they wouldnt give it to you anyway even though they dont need them
wheel stand ….seriousley its called a wheelie
@gmarz13 I guess thats right too. If I ever get a muscle car again its going to be a 1993 Mustang Cobra. :3
Makes me sad they trashed so many cars that will never see the road again, just to make one hardly decent movie.
@koreanboy89 really? cuz i got a 1970 fairlane with ALL original parts and its still running strong 40+ yrs later and if they do happen to break down the mostlikley / only problem would be some carb adjustments to where tuners if one computer fails the rest of the 250+ computers in it fails and end up paying have of what your cars worth to get it repaired…..muscle the way to go its simple and beast ….i get how ppl like different styles of cars but its really how you take care of them
@gmarz13 because you can always rebuild them except for the older ones most/all Asian engines are able to fit into any other…
@GIjoemomma002 can i get one?
Those poor cars! The regal, chevelle, and gran torino don’t deserve that at all! Use CG next time
Thanks fuck you its good
this movie is totally unrealistic and crummy, only 14 year olds can jerk off to this shit and still find it cool.
@gmarz13 And if you don’t agree with me then you don’t have to. You can just go keeping hating on cars you don’t fully understand it’s capabilities.
@gmarz13 I don’t find any of those cars ” beautiful “. Just a piece of junk thats going to break down in under 5 years of driving no matter how legendary,ancient,powerful,or its looks are like. Now tuners, those cars aren’t any better since the people these days rice out their little hondas,toyotas,nissans. But they last longer with a cheap tuneup unlike old muscle cars which always have a problem at some point. I wasted more money working a ‘70 Trans Am than I did with my Infiniti G35 coupe.
@shaggs676 junk em
I miss the days of Bigfoot stompin’ on the junkers.
where is challenger, ranshero, vette, this movie is bullshit
